This product started out as a set of textured Illustrator brushes but quickly became so much more. In order to give you the best effects possible, I've used both Photoshop and Illustrator to make the most of each program's unique features. Together these have enabled the creation of this complete, cross-platform resource pack, which offer so much more functionality than just another ink texture pack...

Software requirements: You will need BOTH Photoshop and Illustrator to use this pack to its full potential BUT, even if you aren't an illustrator user this pack still represents excellent value and usability. I've set it up so that you can still add your own designs and utilize the fantastic textures, styles and patterns, which were all created by sampling real linocut ink textures.

How it works in 3 simple steps:

Create a design using the illustrator brushes, then paste it into one of the Smart PSDs.
Embellish the design further with the one-click text effects and seamless repeat patterns.
Job done.

How easy does that sound?

Here is exactly what is included in this all-inclusive toolkit:

The Brushes:

The set of 61 Illustrator Brushes were made by sampling real linocuts. Use them to create your design and then paste it into one of the Smart PSDs. A pressure sensitive version of the brushes is also included (This is compatible with Illustrator CS5-CC only), as are the original workings for the linocut tools and 'D for Design' images.

The Smart PSDs:

These include the preview images, 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10. Simply add your own designs and they will take on all of the textures! To do this, double-click on the smart layer. A new document will open. Place your own design into it and save. Then, as if by magic, the image will appear in the smart PSD. Please note that most of the PSDs have multiple background options, and that each PSD contains smart objects that will open in both Illustrator and Photoshop.

The mock-ups are not included.

The Styles:

Use these 10 instant text effects to further embellish your designs. Simply type a piece of text and click on a style from the tab. I've supplied them in black, green and orange but instructions are included explaining how you can easily adjust the colors to suit your own design needs.

The Repeat Patterns:

10 realistic linocut patterns are supplied, which are perfect for backgrounds or for creating collages such as the whale image on preview 10. These are supplied in black (3000 x 3000 px or more), orange and green (1500 x 1500 px or more). Once applied it's super quick for you to adjust the colors to suit your own needs.

Black Ink patterns - 3000 x 3000 px, Green and Orange Ink patterns - 1500 x 1500 px.

The Linocut Textures:

You'll find these in the smart PSDs as backgrounds and textures. I've also included the 9 original very high resolution scans just in case you want to make huge designs! The sizes of these vary but most are around 5000 x 3500 px.

A very thorough guide on how to load, apply and then edit the effects is supplied. Please read carefully all the way through as it provides all the information you might need on how to load and use these effects.
